Make Money Fast with LinkWorth

I have recently started doing a few "LinkPosts" through a company called LinkWorth LinkWorth have been around for quite a while and have a whole suite of products which I won't go into in depth as I already have done a review of their products on my Text Link Buzz site

What I wanted to mention specifically on this site because of the other paid post sites that we have reviewed in the past is their LinkPosts, sponsored posts that you set your own price for. Heres how it works..

Sign up for Linkworth and submit your Blogs.
You can go here to register - submit all your blogs and fill in the usual details

Set a price for your Posts
Remember that LinkWorth work with a 50/50 revenue share on this product (this varys depending on the product) so you will not want to set your price to low. I started at 15 dollars and got a couple of articles straight away almost, so have now bumped my price up to 20 dollars.

Await article offers that will get emailed to you.
If Advertisers that belong to LinkWorth like the look of your site and of course the price that you are charging you will receive offers to write for them. You actually have ten days to write your post once you have accepted it which is a very nice length of time to have.

Write and submit the articles

Try to make the most of the articles that you write, you have an opportunity to learn about a product or website, its much more enjoyable if you take an active interest in whatever you are writing about. LinkWorth recommend that you place a small disclosure badge at the bottom of your article which was pleasing to see.

Affiliate Program
LinkWorth have a great affiliate program where you can actually earn ongoing income from your referrals.

Site Promotion
LinkWorth have some great badges that you can place on your site, with a link through to the stats to your Blog. The page has Google, Yahoo and MSN backlinks, Alexa rank, Google PR and other vital statistics about your site that potential advertisers will be interested in looking at. One thing I will say is that my Alexa rank on this page is a bit out of date, I wonder how often the statistics are updated.

Note: The links in this article include my affiliate code.

10 Ways to Optimize your Sponsored Posts - Paid to Post Tips

Although it may not be the most "glamorous" way of making money online the facts are that for myself anyway Sponsored Posts are a large part of my online earnings. I have been writing them now for probably 8 or 9 months and have picked up a few things in this time - that could well be helpful to other Bloggers.

1./ Have multiple blogs
You don't have to write sponsored posts on all your blogs, its nice to have a flagship Blog that you don't write any sponsored content on at all. For me that Blog is Text Link Buzz! Its a good idea to have blogs that you do and blogs that you don't.

I have two Blogs that I do write sponsored posts on, this one and Sir Blogger. Most of them on Sir Blogger mainly because of the next tip.

2./ Have your own domain name
You get a lot more offers if you have your own domain name, a lot of advertisers are put off by a Blogspot or other type of Blog where the Blogger doesn't actually own it. They specifically request sites with their own domain names, so by having one of these you will get more and better paying opportunities.

Consider registering a relevant expired domain as these can already be receiving traffic, and have valuable backlinks and page rank.

3./ Have Posts ready to go straight after sponsored posts
I always like to release my own content immediately after writing a sponsored post, that means when visitors come to your site they are greeted with your unique content at the top of the page, not a sponsored post.

4./ Use a variety of sponsored post sites
You don't have to just stick with one paid posting provider, there are loads out there. You can check out my definitive list if you likeMake Money Fast from our Definitive List of Paid Post Sites if you work your way through them all, you will have a wide range of sponsored posts that you can choose to do at any one time.

5./ Word Count plugin for FireFox
Several of the sponsored post sites have a word count requirement for writing articles, e.g it may be 50 words (good), 100 words (bearable) or even 300 words (damn - not for 5 dollars we hope!). In my early days of paid posting I used to copy and paste my text out of my browser into MS Word and use Word to do a word count. Now however I have smartened up a bit and save time by using the firefox plugin called Text Area Count Words.

6./ Split Browser Plugin for FireFox
This is something I have only started using in recent times, the Split Browser Plugin means that with a click of the mouse you can split your browser windows, so for example you can have your article in a bottom or side pane, and the paid post requirements in the top pane, meaning less clicking between different windows. Visit here to download the plugin.

7./ Set a minimum value / word amount
With the wide range of opportunities that are now available, you may want to set a minimum value on the amount that you are willing to do a sponsored post for. An example of this you may decide that you are not willing to write 300 words for 5 dollars, however are happy to write 50 words for this fee.

8./ Write paragraph headings
Its hard to know where to start sometimes when writing a sponsored post, something I occasionally do when struggling to get into a sponsored post is write two or three paragraph starters. Once this is done its just a matter of expanding on these to make up the content and before you know it the article is done.

9./ Reserve posts
Most PPP companies let you reserve posts, PayU2Blog for instance normally dish you out a bunch of posts on a friday and you have all week to write them. PayPerPost give you 6 hours to write the post, once you have clicked on Take Opportunity. Smortys give you a couple of days, Blogsvertise also give you a few days. By using this to your advantage you can take opportunities when they come up, but also reserve other opportunities to do at other times when pickings may be a little lean.

10./ Work before play
Do your work before you start surfing and playing around. It is harder enough to not got distracted in the cyberworld, I suggest you set yourself some targets to achive before you start having fun - otherwise you will be struggling to make money fast online.

Its not the most enjoyable job in the world, but its not the worst one either - so enjoy learning about new sites and products and make some money at the same time. Remember you only need to make 20 dollars a day to make $600 dollars in a month. Wouldn't that be a nice bit of pocket money?

The Confusion of Disclosure - Lets Clarify

I have been getting a little confused by what exactly is meant by Disclosure in regards to sponsored posts lately... one post I recently did for PayPerPost says in the guidelines for the post itself...

No in post disclosure and no disclosure badge, per Advertiser.

Now thats ok, I did the post and submitted without adding the disclosure badge or anything like that however it was rejected saying remove in post disclosure. I have eventually figured out that it appears to be because I tagged the article as a Sponsored Post - as I do with all my sponsored posts.

Fair enough I guess I will have to remove it, however by doing this appears to violate PayPerPosts own Ethics which clearly state...

Truth-in-advertising is extremely important to us. It is your responsibility to follow our full disclosure policy and inform your readers about your relationship with our advertisers. PayPerPost reserves the right to remove you from our system or cancel bounties if you violate this policy.

Certainly makes it confusing. I have placed a support ticket in to try and get a clear answer however will have to wait and see. If you can explain it clearly please leave a comment to that effect.

While on the topic lets answer a few more questions that may have you confused...

What exactly is Disclosure?
I have taken this from http://www.disclosurepolicy.org/ which incidentally was a site created by PayPerPost where bloggers can get a disclosure policy for their sites.

The act of making something obvious. Disclosing (divulging or explaining), the purpose and interests of a blogger in his/her published posts: written, audio or video.
When is Disclosure not required?
Some sponsored post sites require it, some don't - I am still a little confused on PayPerPosts stance on this, I have had posts rejected where they were tagged as sponsored posts however I did not have a Disclosure Policy - and now I have had one rejected for being tagged as a sponsored post with the explanation that it is an in post disclosure.... I am however seeking clarification on this as I am sure it must confuse a lot of people - its important to have very clear guidelines and things are a little blurred at the moment.

What is site wide disclosure?
Site wide disclosure is in essence a clear disclosure policy that is accessible from every page on your site. E.g the one I have at the top right of this site.

Do you think Disclosure is important?

Make Money Blogging with BloggingAds.com

I'm impressed with BloggingAds - these guys have really come to the party especially for lazy bloggers like myself who sometimes can't be bothered writing our own Sponsored Posts! Now its taken about 4 or 5 days to get my Blogs approved with these guys but I am pleased to say that it has been worth the wait.

Straightforward signup however as mentioned previously took nearly a week to get my blogs approved. Once approved they send you an email and straight away you can login and start making some money.

Opportunities
When I logged in today there were 8 opportunities available, you are limited to 3 per month per blog. As I have two blogs that means of course double. Most of the posts are paying $5 each with one slightly less than this. The beauty of the bloggingads system though is that if you don't want to write the article yourself they have written them for you. This reduces the time factor enormously as you just copy, paste and post. If however you are keen to write it yourself and put something unique out there you can also do that. For an example of the type of advert that you will be posting you can check out the previous article to this one - its one of their sponsored posts.

Payment
BloggingAds pay weekly via paypal. Its nice to have a variety of payments coming in at different times. Its always a buzz getting an email that money has just been deposited in your paypal account.

Summary
These guys are going on my definitive list of paid to post sites - as long as the opportunities keep coming one of the easiest ways to make money I have seen to date. (And I've looked at a lot!)

Creamaid - not for this Blogger

As part of building up the definitive list of paid post sites I wandered along and had a look at creamaid. Now creamaid is a little different from other paid post sites and to be honest its pretty damn confusing (plus misleading) so I have decided not to add it to the list. I want the list to be one where if you are interested in getting paid for your blog posts you can just work through the sites, sign up and start earning money. Creamaid took me a long while to get my head around and then when I tried to actually do a post the one that I tried which even though it said it was available wasn't. I had spent nearly 40 minutes looking through the opportunities and trying to figure out who was actually going to pay me so ended up giving up.

I'm going to work you through how I tried to use the site and you can make your own opinion as to whether its worthwhile or not. Anyway you don't appear to actually join the site you just choose an opportunity from the apparently plenty supplied. I chose an SEO consultants site and was planning on writing an article as to what SEO consultants could do for a companies website. This is why I thought it would be available...

Displayed opportunity

Now I thought that I could write a great article regarding this, especially after reading the more information as below. I could really fit this into the content of of my site - and make some money to boot.

Your mission should you choose to accept it

However when I press the button, all excited about this new tree of money that I have discovered I get creamaids version of a "Dear John" letter...

Oh Dear...

Anyway enough time wasted for me - time that could be spent making some fast money from the other sites on the list.

In the interests of all - and because I believe in taking one for the team I tried again with one that seemed so boring that surely noone would want to post an article on it. This one was titled "Job Hunting for Sign Language Interpreters" however I had exactly the same result. Maybe some companies just do this to get traffic for their sites. If so creamaid need to clamp down on it ASAP as Bloggers are just going to get annoyed and take their posts somewhere else. I am of the opinion that if there are no posts available it shouldn't be displayed for all to see as having posts available - however they are still in beta so maybe this is just some kind of bug.

Anyway I would be interested in hearing your story if you have written a post for creamaid and how easy was it? For now they are not going to get onto my list.

Make Quick Money with BloggerWave

Bloggerwave are looking for Bloggers. I have recently joined them as part of my ongoing mission to make money fast online.

Sign up was a breeze and both of the blogs that I submitted to them were approved within 24 hours.

Opportunities
Although not many opportunities they do pay a bit better than a lot of Paid to Blog type sites so this was pleasing to see. It looks like they are going to have a lot more opportunities coming up soon (they are quite new on the scene)

Payment
BloggerWave pay monthly via PayPal, its good to think ahead when you are making money online and getting paid monthly is a great way to ensure that you reach the targets that you set yourself for the month ahead. It helps to run your Blog like a business if you are serious about making money online so its important to ensure constant cash flow is coming in.

Summary
So far from what I have seen from this site its all looking great. The site is quick, and easy to use and they have some great paying opportunities. I hope they manage to get more as I will certainly be looking for work from this site.

Blog for Money with Smorty

Smorty is a get paid for blogging company that I have recently joined. They have a nice modern interface and its easy to navigate through the site.

Signing up was a painless process and my blog was approved in a matter of hours which was particularly impressive.

Opportunities
Smorty's posts will pay you a minimum of 6 dollars for a post and they need to be at least 150 words with a maximum of 400. Only one outgoing link should be supplied in the article and that should be to the anchor text supplied. One small issue that I found that was with any of the opportunities that I was looking at it was not really clear what the actual anchor text was meant to be so I could only assume that it was the title of the opportunity - once you go to submit the article it then tells you which anchor text to use. I think it should tell you as part of the details of the opportunity.

They don't appear to have a great deal of opportunities available right now however hopefully this will improve as they solidify their position in the "blog advertising" arena.

Payment
Smorty's pay weekly by Paypal which is great, I prefer to be paid either weekly or fortnightly personally as its a pain holding out a month for payments which some pay post companies tend to do.

Summary
Nice clean site with a professionally look and feel - a site I plan to be using frequently in the months ahead as we continue on our mission.

Make Money Fast from our Definitive List of Paid Post Sites

I am looking at creating a definitive list of "Paid to Blog" type sites and need your help as I am sure there are more out there than what I have listed here. If you have another one please let me know (via a comment or email to robstgeorge at gmail dot com) so I can add it to the list.

I am creating this list as a resource, each site that I am advised of firstly I will join it and make sure its all legit, each of the sites below I have tried with the exception of Reviewme where no one has yet requested a review of this site - however I have seen plenty of other bloggers successfully earn money from it so its OK for the list.

So if you are looking at making some fast money online you can simply work your way through the list and sign up with each company. Most have minimum requirements so its best if your blog is at least 90 days old and regularly updated for a start.

I will add more details to this post as more information comes to hand.

Cut, Paste and Post - Sponsored Posts on Steroids

Have you ever done a Sponsored Post? If so and you are like me the worst and most time consuming part of a Sponsored Post is trying to find out enough information about the company you are reviewing to create an original article about them. You know you are only going to get between 5 and 15 dollars for it, so time is a consideration.

What if there was a place where the Advertisers wrote their own Sponsored Post and all you had to do was Paste it into your blog and click on the Publish Button? Would this make things easier?

Well I think it would and as I think there is a market where advertisers could pay less for their advertising, and Bloggers could spend less time learning about products they might not be interested in I have started the "Sir Bloggers Easy Post System".

I have had a blog for a while now called www.sirblogger.com which is not doing much so I thought I could put it to good use and set up a Blogger to Advertiser network, anyway the Easy Post System works like this...

For Bloggers
Advertisers contact you with a post they would like to place on your blog, it can be up to 200 words in size and contain up to 3 links. The Advertiser has written it for you all you need to do is publish it and send the URL back to the advertiser along with your paypal userid. The Advertiser then has agreed (by contacting you in the first place) to pay you $5 for posting the advert. If this appeals to you great - submit your blog here...

Worst case scenario you get a free link to your blog from the Sir Blogger Website!

For Advertisers
The Sir Bloggers Easy Post system has 3 advantages for Advertisers over traditional pay per post sites..

1/ No 3rd party involved, the advertiser deals direct with the Blogger.
2/ Price - because you are not paying anyone else there is no commission or "affiliate" payment involved
3/ Advertising Copy - you write your own for each site that you want it to appear on. No more spelling mistakes or grammatical errors. If you like you can get your marketing department to write the articles and just change them a bit for each site you request to post them on to avoid "duplicate content" on the search engines.

If this sounds like a great way to create buzz for your site please head to Sir Bloggers Posters and choose which Blogs you would like to use. The cost is $5 for each 200 word article with up to 3 links of your choosing in it. If you wanted 5 sites to post an article it would only set you back $25 dollars.

More Information at Sir Bloggers Easy Post - Advertisers and Bloggers Direct - If you think this is a good idea, please help me spread the word, I can see great income potential for Bloggers if the time factor is removed from sponsored posts, and at the same time it is a saving for advertisers.

As far as Pay per post sites go these are the ones that so far have been successfully used by this experiment. We did a full review on pay per post a month or so back.

It has become obvious to me in recent times that given enough websites you could probably almost eke out some sort of a living by writing paid posts, however it wouldn't be the most satisfying way to earn a crust.

Technorati - we have just moved into the top 17000 Blogs woohoo, would be very happy to get into the top 10,000 so if you have a like minded blog with 3 months or more of content lets swap links and help each other out.

Who are going to be the top 5 blog sites for March that earn a months worth of links from my posts in April? Well let me tell you at this stage it looks like there will be a couple of new sites that have moved up the MillionNZDollar Referral ladder, all will be revealed in a few days once March is done and dusted.

Coming soon we look at an excellent tool for tracking the ranking performance of key words that you are interested in optimizing your site for.

Are Sponsored Posts the Blog killers everyone thinks they are?

There is a lot of debate about this subject - you can read the more than 70 comments on this post from Problogger to get a bit of a feeling for some of the thoughts out there about them Do You Read Paid Review Posts? … alot of bloggers are dead set against those that write sponsored posts, and then there are others that don’t seem to mind one way or another.

Why do Bloggers do Sponsored Posts?
Well to answer a simple question with a simple answer in most cases I assume it is for the money. Most Bloggers do sponsored Posts so that they can create some sort of return from their Blog. This may pay for hosting of the site, a bit of development to the blog or any other reason.

Do they believe in the Product they are writing about?
This is a good question and it may be the case that yes they do, or most bloggers realize that they can even write a negative review (if it is warranted) and still get paid for it. So the chances are that the blogger is stating the facts as he/she knows it.

What if the readers don’t like it?
This is a hard question I guess its a bit like what if viewers don’t like a particular advert on T.V or a movie maybe. The best course of action if you are offended by a sponsored post is not to read it… yep its as simple as that really!

Will Sponsored Posts ruin my Blog?
Well the answer to this is yes or no, depending on whether you let it or not. Sponsored Posts have been around for a long time and if you handle them in a mature and honest way there is no reason that they should affect your blog in a negative way - however you may want to obey the following five ways of sponsored post ethics…

1./ Always make it obvious to your readers that a sponsored post is a sponsored post.
2./ Write a “real” article straight after the sponsored post so that a visitor to your site is greeted with a real article.
3./ Try to keep sponsored posts in line with the topic of your blog.
4./ Don’t boast (to much!) about the money you make from sponsored posts on your site.
5./ Don’t sell yourself too cheap - only write for reasonable paying opportunities- your time is probably worth more than 5 bucks.

As you can see there are fors and againsts depending on what kind of person you are and how forgiving your readers are - they are going to be turned off your site quickly if all there is every time they visit is a bunch of sponsored posts - however as long as you include other good quality articles I doubt any reasonable person would hold it against you. (lets hope not anyway!)

The Secret of making Paid Posts less intrusive on your site

When you decide that you need a bit of quick cash, it is often tempting to write a sponsored Post. With half an hour or so of effort and a bit of luck you can earn yourself between 5 and 10 US dollars (or perhaps even more), which depending on where in the world you live may or may not be much at all.

The secret to writing paid posts that have minimal impact on your website is simplistic yet effective - you need to have a really decent article ready to go, and place this right above the paid post that just got published.

There is nothing worse than visiting your favourite blog and being greeted with a sponsored post right at the top!

Remember to always mark your sponsored posts as such, I normally write Sponsored Post - then the name of the article. This means your readers can trust you and know that you are not trying to trick them into reading something that you got paid to write.

Also join as many pay per post sites as you can, so that you have a wide range of topics to choose from. That way you can try and pick a subject that is interesting and actually add content to your site as well. If you would like to use payperpost you are welcome to join them via the affiliate badge on my sidebar under "Blog Earners"

Myself I try not to do to many paid posts these days, preferring to spend my time boosting the passive income side of my sites. (i.e driving more traffic to them) - however I still have them up my sleeve if I need a little boost to reach the ever increasing monthly targets that I set myself.

3,2,1 Lift Off - LoudLaunch launches into the Blogosphere

There is a new payperpost site on the scene. The site is LoudLaunch and for Bloggers that are interested in earning money from their posts they offer a way to do this.

For advertisers they offer campaigns starting from $50. (The advertiser may want to spend more than this however to achieve greater reach for their campaign.)

The way the site works is first of all you submit your blog for approval. Once it has been approved you log in to the console, and you can view any campaigns that are up for offer. The prices appear to vary from campaign to campaign.

Update 15 - May - 2007 Everything has been ok with the opportunities that we have done from this site, the only problem is that they are quite low priced and some of the opportunities require quite a bit of effort for the 5 dollars that they offer. They mention that the price is determinate on the quality of your blog however the maximum offer I have seen is 5 dollars to date.

How to supplement your income with Sponsored Posts

Lately I have been writing sponsored posts, lots of them and although one may think that this could negatively impact a blog, I actually think that it has a positive impact, additionally it is helpful revenue to my part of the Million Dollar Experiment.

Writing sponsored posts can mean that your Blog is regularly updated - which is a good thing.
Reputable Pay per post companies like Blogitive require that you have at least 2 posts of 50 words or more between sponsored posts. This means that if you are writing lots of sponsored posts, you are also writing a lot of not sponsored posts - this is also a good thing.
You can clearly mark a sponsored post, as a sponsored post, this means that readers can tell at a glance what it is and choose to read it if they wish or simply ignore it.
Key words, you may find that your site starts to show up from searches that it would not have previously, because of the wealth of new key words that you have been using in your sponsored posts.
It is quite possible to earn more than $50 US a month doing this, even on a relatively low traffic blog. That pays for your Internet connection, hosting if you pay for it and a domain name!

I recommend that if you are writing sponsored posts, that every time you publish one, you have another article ready to go straight after it. That way whenever someone visits your blog they are greeted with a genuine article, not a Sponsored Post, which could put them off.

Happy Posting - Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

If you found this site to be helpful or inspiring you are welcome to donate to Robs Experiment!
